    Non-open Competition
    Schaan, Liechtenstein
    2016

The design for the fire department and depot building in Schaan is characterized by a distinctly structured organization that combines contradictory functions in a compact building.

The blue, upwards paler coloring of the shell of prefabricated exposed concrete elements emphasizes the autonomy of the building and contrasts with the signaling red of the interior. Few large-format openings show precise cut-outs of the functions in the building and framed views from the inside into the surrounding alpine landscape.
